  316. ===== Installation =====================================
  317.  
  318. The installation procedure for Site Master is quite simple.  The
  319. package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the
  320. entire process.  You will need about 6.6 Megs of available disk space
  321. on the hard drive on which you plan to install Site Master.
  322.  
  323. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  324. Site Master.
  325.  
  326. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  327.  
  328. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  329.  
  330.    o  Place Site Master distribution diskette "Disk 1" in the
  331.       appropriate diskette drive.
  332.  
  333.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program on the distribution diskette
  334.       while you are in Windows. For example, if the distribution
  335.       diskette is on drive A:, RUN "A:SETUP.EXE" from File Manager.
  336.       This will, in turn, start the "INSTALL.EXE" and continue
  337.       the installation.
  338.  
  339.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  340.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  341.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  342.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  343.       the Site Master files to that directory.  When Disk 1 is finished,
  344.       you will need to insert Disk 2 in the diskette drive when asked
  345.       to do so.  It will make no other changes; specifically, it
  346.       will not modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys files.
  347.  
  348. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  349.  
  350. If you downloaded Site Master from the Internet or an Online Service,
  351. (or received it in the form of archive files from some other source),
  352. you will need to perform the following steps.
  353.  
  354.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  355.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  356.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  357.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  358.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  359.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  360.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  361.       the package.  The program should usually be compressed with
  362.       pkzip 2.04g, from PKWARE, available on the Internet, AOL,
  363.       Compuserve, and most BBS's.  The files can be expanded with
  364.       either the pkzip.exe file or pkunzip.exe file.
  365.  
  366.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  367.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  368.       the Site Master package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the
  369.       command, "c:\tempdir\install.exe" from within File Manager or
  370.       your Windows Shell.  Note: only the diskette version of the
  371.       program requires "setup.exe".
  372.  
  373.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  374.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
